Flash Fiction, Twitter Short Story by Pam Blackthorne

Watch the 140 Character Short Story: FLASH FICTION

Get to know writer Pam Blackthorne:

1) What is your very short story about?

It¹s about a person who¹s exploring new places, thinking the world is a
happy, safe place. Only after all light is extinguished do they realize
they¹ve taken a wrong turn, and now it¹s too late to go back. Who knows
what¹s ahead?

2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?

I get the biggest kick out of flash fiction. I¹ve told a few stories in
100 words or less. One was published. The 140-character limit really
appealed to me. It takes real skill to tell a compelling story in very few
words.

3) What movie have you seen the most in your life?

The Shipping News. It helped me get beyond my divorce.

4) How many scripts and stories have you written?

Watch 140 Character Short Story: LIFE IS BUT A DREAM

Get to know writer Brian O’Flaherty:

1) What is your very short story about?

The story is about having a life altering experience, which brings about a realization; a realization that changes the narrator forever. The realization is that one’s mind creates one’s reality, which is experienced as a contrast of opposites, the meaning of which the narrator must decide.
That’s it in a nutshell.

2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?

I’m in the process of submitting a feature screenplay to the festival, which caused me to receive emails, where I was then informed about the Twitter festival. It seemed like a fun idea.

3) What movie have you seen the most in your life?

Return of the Jedi.

4) How many scripts and stories have you written?

WILDsound Festival's avatarWILDsound Festival

Watch 140 Character Short Story: A FINAL EFFORT OF GOODNESS

Get to know writer MJ Brewer:

1) What is your very short story about?

My story is about those times when we struggle to help someone else and the efforts are futile.

2) What motivated you to write this story and submit it to the festival?

I’ve never written anything this short before, and I felt it would be fun. It was fun, but it was a bigger challenge than I had anticipated. The ability to write,
explain, and evoke emotion in an extremely short frame is more taxing than one might typically assume.

3) What movie have you seen the most in your life?

I’m unclear of this question, but I believe you’re asking the types of movies I typically watch. Sometimes when my emotions become flat-lined, I’ll watch The
Notebook or P.S. I Love You. But that is…
