Can someone tell me
What I did wrong
To love
Someone who left

To miss
And not be missed
To care
And to be ignored

To jump in excitement
And be pierced with a gaze
Asking whether am alright

Can someone tell me
What I did wrong
To smile so genuinely
And be given a cold shoulder

To long for something
And be denied

Life indeed
Comes in waves
To test the weak
The strong

And those
Who don’t know
What and who they are

Once you figure out
What I did wrong

Maybe you will be right
To have chosen
Where you are
