LOVE Poetry: PITY PRAY, by Tobias Roberson

All bubble and bruised, I pitied you
With puffy brown eyes, I pitied you
Lashes watered in tears, I pitied you

As he held you, I pitied you
Ever since your birth, I pitied you
My husband already knows, I pitied you
Because I birthed you, I pitied you
So you grow, I will pity you.

I pitied your stomach
I pitied your lungs
I pitied your hands
I pitied
