LOVE Poem: my drunken heart, by Abbie Galipeau

Daddy taught me to love the way
he loves the bottle—
a terrifying, grotesque sort of love
that only Ligeia could know in such
eloquence. Daddy taught me to watch
the way they run. All-consuming, he calls
it, our love, obsessive and compulsive,
the same way he cherishes his bottle.
