TRAGIC Poem: The Last Note, by Diya Misri

Walls
Heavenly white,
Serene silence
Interrupted only by
Incessant beeping,
Rattling lungs
In a body,
Not as old
As should be,
Ears filled
With the beeping tune,
Tethered to life,
An annoying assurance,
Ropes unbind,
Blood runs cold
As the tune fades away,
Unmelodious melody,
Air escapes swiftly
As the last note plays.
