HAIKU Poems by Isabelle Walker

blue gown opens in back
he slurps juice from a plastic cup
belches

#

a gurney rolls by
just a poof of kinky hair
among rumbled linens
at dinner
fixing her hearing aid
her head tilts toward the door

#

on the boat
a girl looks into the wind
her ponytail a flag
