DEATH Poem: Grief, by Lane Cumello

shattered glass
i feel my soul split
down the middle.

disembodied
between the cracks
on the pavement
i decay.

through the fissure
weeds bloom
they remind me of someone
myself?

they’re colorless
i don’t remember.
were they green?
yes, i remember
like envy.
not of another
of life
