GRIEF Poem: Stanley, by Hayley Rae

Carrying your lifeless body in
A flash before my eyes
A bomb
Detonating my heart from my chest
But only yours stopped beating?

“I would take years off my life to give you.”
-Understated at best
I would have given you my life
So I could save myself
From living in a world without you
