GRIEF Poem: Souls Medicine, by MyKayla Williamson

I have not laughed with my soul since you left.
I commune with my flesh
Thanking it for fashioning a mask
That can get my spirit through the day
Without the elixir
The medicine
That you crafted for me.
The soul’s medicine, in the absence of the apothecary
