Read Poem: CHOICES by Eve Hall
We all have choices, you and I.
One is to live, one is to die.
One is to fail, one is to try.
One is to be truthful, one is to lie.
One is to love,
One is to hate.
One is to be early,
One is to be late.
One is to be wrong,
One is to be right.
One is to peaceable,
One is to fight.
One is to feel old,
One is to feel new.
The final choice
Is up to you!
Read Poem: Oh Summer! Don’t Leave Me by Lateefah16
I’m going to miss your warm days
that filled me with iced tea
I wish you weren’t leaving
handing me over to fall with ease
dark clouds with hints of mint and harvest trees
dances and festivals to commence its release
I’m going to miss your calm lakes and strong waves
that brought me to the beach countless days
the steaming rays of your sun
tanning me brown
no matter the linen I wear
I’m going to miss the smell of your wild roses
sunny daisies, red tulips, pink lilies
the touch of each crisp oak bark
maple rich and fresh like from the stars
OH!
don’t get me started on your summer nights
lit to my fearless heart’s delight
engulfed with striking possibilities
Hershey’s kisses and skinny dipping
peach ice cream that have me licking
I’m going to miss each endless moment wrapped together
sipping margaritas and martinis
dry, wet, some in between
covered under sun hats and dancing umbrellas
But since you must go,
I welcome autumn with open arms
because you’ll soon return like sky’s rain
and sadly my love, I’ll miss you once again

Read Poem: Hopeless Wonder by Bradford Lee Mace
I opened my book
invited you in
your character evolved
the plot thickened
Happy ending in sight
no end to our love
the pages had hope
even life from above
But you smeared the ink
before it could dry
not even whiteout
could save our goodbye
The dagger my soul
thrust deep within
I was lost for words
my heart left broken
I knew I was wrong
my first inclination
I surrendered to love
despite my hesitation
I gave you the benefit
despite having doubt
left now to wander
lifelessly without
No explanation why
not even a plea
is this really over
how can it be
No thoughts of your own
not even a word
your silence my death
all I wanted your love

Read Poem: TOGETHERNESS by RAVINDRA KUMAR KARNANI
“Together” is a place
Where it’s wonderful
To be side by side
And here’s where
The entire family
Loves to reside.
The weather here is warm
All feel safe and secure
Are always drenched
In love and kindness
And deep inside feel so pure.
This is a Private place
Owned severally
Also, owned by all
Secured from outside world
And not affected at all.
Here,
Kindness is given and received,
With no guilt or demand.
All are leaders
There is no command.
Understanding is so good
Communication at it’s best
All the inner feelings
Are openly expressed.
Now the question is
If ‘Together’ is a ‘place’
What is togetherness?
When the family is ‘at’ Together
The vibes that they give
It’s a feeling of wholeness
That immerses you into bliss
The vibes that you get
Of Generous, Tenderness, Gentleness
This I think is true Togetherness!

Read Poem: Ruby by Nagma H. Ahmed
A roe, a sawdust, an idle charm
She is a dying fire,
A hot ash who kissed off
Her self pity, her
Grueling groove, her
Rhetoric rhymes
A hart absorbed with action,
And adventure flicks,
Takes everything in even.
A darling deadwood
A pungent clicker,
A mustached chanteuse,
Who finds serendipity
In a most vignette area.
A scurvy with a whim,
Waiting for her ginger heyday.
