impossible heavenly blue

outlining the island beaches

a blue that into my soul reaches

skewing what I perceive as true

this crazy, sparkling, crystal hue

I’ve seen this sight and lost my way

mainland drudgeries fade and fray

waves create hazy rainbows fine

that steal a heart that once was mine

how will I ever get away?
