Read Poem: The Feast, by Mignon R. Davis

Salivating, Sighing
Craving the cornucopia
Promised at tonight’s feast.

Imagination, Anticipation
Mouth watering
Eyes wandering

Expectation, titillation
Savoring sweet stolen
bites.

Gorging, Grinning
Surrendering the senses
Immersed in tonight’s feast.

Reciprocation, Gratification
Lips glistening
Eyelids fluttering

Relaxation, Contemplation
Ardently awaiting another
Course.
