Read Poem: My Name Is Schizophrenia, by Karianne Gabaldon

(Verse 1)

You shake, tremble and you quiver with fear
I’ve got hands upon you it’s the voices you hear
But relax, I’m your friend
Or you’d like to pretend
No hard feelings.

You breathe heavily and try to escape
But you know if you try then I just might end your fate
Hi I’m back with a gun
You get out, try to run
‘Til you’re bleeding.

(Chorus)

They call you the crazy guy
And I
I’m at fault.
They call you the crazy guy
And I
I’m at fault.
They call you the crazy guy
And I
I’m at fault.

I haunt your mind.
I haunt your mind.

(Verse 2)

I push you into canyons of wet
And you fall right into my dark oubliette
And you scream until there
Is a key you know where
I am hiding.

I’m out to get you, now go on and cry
But it won’t do you good, you’ll just sit there and die
I’m the mask, I’m the sword
You’re the bitch, you’re the whore
And you now have that razor in your palms, there’s no use in hiding anymore.

They call you the crazy guy
And I
I’m at fault.
They call you the crazy guy
And I
I’m at fault.
They call you the crazy guy
And I
I’m at fault.

I haunt your mind.
