LOVE Poem: crooked trail to holbrook, by Syf Sloane

and we’re still nowhere near the place
you said you’d go
when i decided we couldn’t love
the way you said we should
i am so tired
of all the words we spat up
when we were in bed sick
just waiting for the rotwood
to take us home to some grove
where the druids still know
what to do with blood like ours
