Read Poetry by Charles Howes

Winter in pastel

Snow falls on snow

North wind whistles through the pines

The lonely crow calls

The fire crackles

The window pane cries

tears of confusion

in the early morning sun

Love in laughter

Toes tangle beneath

the quilt

Summer can wait
