Read Poem: REST JEALOUSY, by Cassie M. Huffman

They sleep
She weeps
The noises in her head will not let her be
They dream
She screams
As the nightmares take hold of every piece of her being
She’s prescribed another pill to test
Maybe this magical one will put her to rest
Another trick? Just another temporary addiction to add to her mess
The world sleeps
The girl weeps
A pill, a prayer, perhaps another drug
She’d give up her life to live like these sheeps
