Read Poem by Chandrani Banerjee

Flashes of older dwellings

Fortified concoctions of heathen’s past,
May they chase away the dragons at your back.
The chromosome of suburbia flashing at every street corner
The mute merry-go-round
at the fairground
awaits the gentle hands that once
were unchained.
