Read Poem: THE TRAIN STATION, by Michelle Pollino

Flower and fauna

You begin again

Of course

Fold to unfold to stretch

To arrive at the station

To punch the ticket

The train moves slowly at first

Metal upon metal, steam

And then speeds by

Green trees turn upside down, then rust

Wheels thrush to a halt

I fall apart

Into the soil I turn over

Feeding the ground
