Read Poem: ultimatum, by luke blake

“Sitting in serenity isn’t always peaceful
Sometimes its charging into the fight, you know the whole finding order in the chaos?
Well i live in the eye of a storm thats been raging long before i was born
And the day i came into this world was when this storm laughed in gods face
Telling him that he will create a new heaven for this young man
Though true to it may be, father time is selective with the grains of sand he puts in everyone’s hourglass
And as for mine he left it broken to leave me here questioning life for what may seem an eternity
Now mother earth has given me an ultimatum
To choose to stay here and explore the realm of creation
While the raging storm follows over head with father time trailing behind slowly putting a date on my coffin
Or she offers me the choice to end it all in all my suffering
To lay in her vast openness of beauty in the afterlife”
