Read Poetry: IN THE DARKNESS, by Martyn Wells

In a black with strength of midnight blue,
Whispering to its heart,
Balletic stars take to the stage so true,
Beauty created: natures art.

Nights of richest hues – pure black,
Hug heaven’s eyes so sweet,
Ones that shine so brightly back,
Embedded in velvet complete.

Dusk then comes a promise of starlight,
Bloomed from darkness concealed,
Brilliant cushioned pearls of heaven-night,
By the darkness stars revealed.
