At some point in one’s life; they seem to want to hide their past.
Burying all the lies and secret; and finally letting go….
Until one day
They wake up, and must come; face to face with the Memory Lane;
That taunts them and keeps reminding them by saying….
I’m here and you haven’t seen the last.
For I am Memory Lane
The game change,
Crying Game, and the nightmare;
That continues to give you grief and pain.
I am Memory Lane!
The memory that never sleeps
Yet
Keeps all the nightmares that;
You seemed to have hid… By being discrete.
That’s so sweet! But I’m not here for peace.
I’m here to drive you insane
By bringing back those faces…
That one’s that once had a life; with a name.
For I am the deck of cards called “MEMORY LANE”.

It’s a daily occurrence
Attach the electrodes for torment
When really everything will be just fine
I’m just playing around with your mind

You lie there so trusting
When its me that has you cussing
If you wake up with a headache
Don’t worry, it’s just your sanity that I take

When I ask you to relax as I linger
And put on my surgical gloves with floppy fingers
Don’t be nervous and hyper ventilate
I’ll be checking your eyes if they dilate

After the surgery get plenty of rest
It’s true but its for the best
My home is hell in a dim lit room
It could be worse, you could be stuck in a tomb

Don’t forget, you will want to see me first
As I am so careful with my thirst
But as time moves on that knowledge is forgotten
I am Hell’s Child Brain Surgeon

I miss those days
when we were together
hands in hands always
never caring the other’s case
I smiled for you
you laughed for me
and we had a giggling base.
You stared and i blushed
time was still very smooth
never ever rushed.
You looked into my eyes
and i blink them twice
we smiled at each other again
cause that moment has no price.

And now we are far
just thinking of each other
what the other one is doing
just worrying for one another.
I guess lets do it again
give another try
as life always give a chance
provided you know to fly.
Come on, lets reunite now,
lets yell again together
and allow our happiness
to once again gather
gather with love
affection and smile
to have everything again
in heaps and pile.
Please walk with me again
again so many miles
so that we can gain
gain back our smiles
Just thinking of you today
made me so alive
if you miss me this way

Get to know the poet:

1) What is the theme of your poem?

It is a poem from a mother to her children after losing custody of them due to her addiction and mental breakdown. The guilt, shame, and remorse of her decision to leave them in someone else’s care in hopes that they would live a life she could not afford to give them.

2) What motivated you to write this poem?

Let’s just say, “personal experience.” Along with a neverending desire and need to apologize for this choice.

3) How long have you been writing poetry?

As long as I can remember, but I have just begun to share my talent with the general public. As a matter of fact, my first Anthology of Poems has just been released on Kindle. A collection titled, “The Fractured Ego.”

4) If you could have dinner with one person (dead or alive), who would that be?

With a doubt, I would need to say, my Mother!

5) What influenced you to submit to have your poetry performed by a professional actor?

Many reasons, but to hear my words expressed by another is a thrill and I couldn’t be happier to share my thoughts and works. I am curious to see how the actor has interpreted my writing. This has been very exciting. Thank you.

6) Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?

I currently have two other publications. I have a short story on Kindle titled, “The Menacing House” and a suspense mystery novel, titled “Cycles of Time – Revenge is Mine.” And as I stated above, I have a newly released anthology of poems, “The Fractured Ego.”

7) What is your passion in life?

My life’s passion is to keep it simple, enjoy life, continue healing, and to just be internally happy!

Everything was playing so “Gusto”

Like he became Heavenly blood brothers

“Maestro” at the London Metro.

Having hotter than hell fling

But people were more than blood things

Feeling like a substitute or big “Hero”

What happens to some of them

they weren’t waking or O or B- cups

drinking

But a style of panache

The style of grace or disgrace

showing deeper how it cuts

like the “Reaper” all circumstances

Fewer but true redder romances

the evidence got flown away

but miraculous something has to give

Like a stewed “Hungarian Goulash”

miracles time for hot fetishes

You just felt eclat what a cliche these Vampires and

their maidens. With the raw bite of her bodice

styles were becoming. But a bigger blood manner

was moving toward her so risque

Dances storing more blood trances

of a repertoire

Their necks were suffocating watching another

lover was mating like a web server

“The Others” were sleepwalking deserter

Like another language takes over

a code talking nevermore

Back to life a style forming another soul

to capture, but the wrong type of blood

failure whats to prevail?

Like self-murder so red

Vampire’s attached bloody email

Some were at the spa-like looking wolf-like

howling that strip of a face peel

so habitually like blood uses

The best collection of blood choices

So mainstream another erotic dream

Like a style or seeing hot gesture

So popular stream forevermore

At the concert, he noticed who she was

Knock dead bloody Tis the holiday features

That maestro what style Panache

Like a french Brulee bite of toast

He was the hot bloody roast he

got her blood the most

What is the theme of your poem?

Love.

What motivated you to write this poem?

My strong feelings of love for my wife.

How long have you been writing poetry?

I started writing poems back in 1983 while working in Brunei. I have recently written a number of love poems for my wife, with two of them in the final four in WildSound Poetry Festivals, with another of my poems that Julian Ford read out online, in the final four.

If you could have dinner with one person (dead or alive), who would that be?

I think due to my love of writing, it would Le Child, whose writing I think is in a class of its own.

What influenced you to submit to have your poetry performed by a professional actor?

I think the words in my poem would appeal to many people, especially those who do not know the difference between love and desire. Also, by having my poem read out live, it acts to give more publicity to my writing endeavours.

Do you write other works? scripts? Short Stories? Etc..?

I have written and had published two short fiction books, plus one re my life in Turkey where I have lived for over 25 years, and a memoir entitled Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps. This covers my working as an expat for nineteen years in fifteen countries spread throughout the Middle, Far East and North Africa. In conjunction with Voyage Media who think my memoir could be used as the basis for a television series, I have written a pitch, which is on a list that Voyage sends out to over 6,000 producers to see if one is interested in using it.

At present, Julian Ford, one of your readers is working on turning my memoir into an audio book. I am presently writing a novel, and had over 14 articles published in online magazines, and one published in a UK expat magazine. I also took part in a live radio show in America re my writing.

What is your passion in life?

My passion is writing and hoping that one day I might have one of my books used as the basis for a film.
