Genre: Dark, scary, empowering, unknown, mystery, life
Turning and twisting out of reach
My dreams turn dark my fears unleashed
As I slowly drown in darkness I feel it’s icy touch I squirm trying to stay out of its evil clutches but it’s just not enough
The light of day continues to fade far from my reach
My heart beats fast as at last I finally see this living beast for what it truly is
I embrace it’s tendrils empowered and unafraid my fear fades far away as I dive into the darkness I now find comforting

They were wrapped up within one another
Like tangles bits of twine;
Two threads stitching a single lover:
“I’m yours, and you’re mine.”
They embraced hard and fast,
Desperately trying to get closer
On bed-sheets stained of nights past
And pillow-talk echoing “No, sir.”
How sleeping came with sublime ease,
And they fit together like a rhyme;
They both ink’d moments just like these
As the drifted into time.

I see a shooting star, traverse the full-moon.
Like a jungle bushfire, raging out of sight.
I feel the heat of midday, smothering the night.
Like a warm body, inside her tomb.
I see the dawn, without the golden sun.
Like a Lyrebird, singing all out of tune.
I hear the morning rain, without a cloud in the sky.
Like yesterday’s floods, leaving her high and dry.
I see a sandy beach, awash by a tidal wave.
Like a burning desert, water is her grave.
I fill lonely sheets, with empty dreams.
Like a dark chasm’s irrelevant beams.
I see a summer leaf, wilted by a frosty Autumn.
Like an unwatered orchid, opening to an old anthem.
I feel like a splintered heart, inside a single atom.
Like a snake’s dead skin, her rejected emblem

My journey is no longer one,
That goes from A to B.
Because I try avoiding those,
Who wish to vape at me.
Their sweet and sickly clouds of smoke,
That choke me to my core,
Contain untold and noxious shit,
That makes my eyes real sore.
By all means smoke yourselves to death,
Vape to an early grave,
But please breathe out the other way,
And then my lungs you’ll save.
Not blowing out your foul exhales,
Into my normal path.
Will stop my throat from getting sore,
And enable me to laugh.
Because I don’t want popcorn lung,
Nor your second-hand breath,
Please, exhale some other way,
So I can still cheat death.

Catch the wind in your hair
Standing on top of a mountain
Conquered with strength and skill
All the while, submit to it with respect
Will you understand it?
Will the forces of nature tolerate me trespassing
Will you allow it?
Will the elements be gentle to my body and soul
I climb the highest mountain
to find peace for a moment
I hike the vastest valley
to embrace my solitude for some time
I walk the curly roads
to challenge my spirit
I stroll through the fields in the rain
to feel the touch of nature
How can I not love this place…
How can I not love where I am going…
How can I not love…
A restless soul lives on and on
In search for tranquility, Some peace of mind
Closing his eyes, and finding the quietness
While resting his heart…

Skim a brittle frozen lake
And dance into my heart again
Melt my mind with breaths of spring
And lead me to The May
When the nights are lighter And when the days are lengthening
Bluster me with morning thrills,
Lead me to my Blue Remembered Hills
Fill my sky with untold stars
Breathe me into life again
Sketch my air with summer nights
And choose for me the way
Your magic hour at sunset
When reds and golds surprise
Roll my tongue with sugar pills
And lead me to my Blue Remembered Hills
Once we were callow young
With all our years before us
Ever two together as one
Now with our new found song aching to be sung
We’ll cast our dreams upon the Blue Blue Hills
So dance me through the Valentine
To where our love is sheltering
Shower me in blossom sparks
Of hawthorne’s scented day’til sage Augustus clothes us
In frosted robes of silvery
When seasons move against our will
We’ll walk upon our Blue Remembered Hills
When seasons move against our will
On Blue Remembered Hills(from Splinters and Sparks)
