Little Girl Lost
Diana – Princess of Wales
by
Patricia Poulos

She was shy

But beneath that ‘little girl’ exterior

she was strong

She was only nineteen

She did not know how to react

to worldly situations which

involved her heart

She had not the experience

of older women

Nor the manner

in dealing with the experiences

she would encounter

as a married woman

The Fairy-tale Princess

She could not have envisaged

the torment she would suffer

Her father departed

The only person

upon whom to rely

for every aspect of her being

would share his affections

with another

She would have no one

to help carry her load

Yet the other had two

men to satisfy her desires

She had

nowhere to turn

Trapped

like a small animal in a cage

held high

for all to see

She was so young

She could not have seen

the murkiness of the waters

which would eventually engulf her

Waters in which

she would eventually drown

There is no precedent of decorum

for those

whose hearts have been shattered

No right nor wrong written

to guide the broken hearted

Just a stumble and fall

with no one to hold

Only the lesson

after the act

All too late

She was vulnerable

The weight of her burden

caused her to hold

onto any attention given

She would be

betrayed

again and again

Coerced into telling

… if more people knew

the burden would ease

But the children

would be left

with the burden of life

without her

The kiss and tell lover

revealed the intimacy of her trust

Now everyone knew

their inner-most secrets

Once released

the burden grew

An uncontrollable monster

which cannot be re-caged

A dictator

which commands response

She was left naked

Her soul was bared

The lessons were being learned

All would sympathize

But sympathy is hollow

it contains no substance

it provides no sustenance

The whole world knows

the shame has now spread

But this was not the intent

She knew not

what next to do

She craved for the promises made

Not to be kept

The Fairy-tale end

was not so to be

Then God

took pity

on this Little girl lost

and took her to Him

Perhaps now in death

she will end the tale

and live
Happily Ever After.

(W)Ri{gh}t(e), Poetry by Tim Rizzuti

Genre: love, choices, humanity, integrity, emotional, deep

Moments of clarity
Lead to temporary insanity
Where is my plan to be
How do I get to the next degree
Of life
Is it as hard for everybody else
Or do I have it easy
Should I be concerned
With my mind
And the state it chooses to be
Do I need medical help
Do I need holistic healing
Do I need my wife to stand by
Pray to god for a feeling
Or a sign
That everything will be alright
That everything will be alright
Writing helps the emotion
Seep throughout my brain
Down my spine
To my chest
Arm
Hand
Fingers
Pen
Ink
Page
Now the stage is set
All I need to do is

don’t leave me, not me
but what you expects from me

don’t mourn, not me
but what you looses in me

Dear Mr. Chandler, Poetry by Chaitali Kolgaonkar

Genre: Love.

[Hey you Mr. Chan out there.
Miss Chanadler Bong,
Yes you.
Do you even know,
what’s happening.
Does it even bother you ?
There is this random girl
At the other end.
Turning into Mon just for your sake.

She has cooked a million stories
How you would meet,
Organised all dates
And cross referenced it.
Though being moustache obsessed
She has settled for a clean shaven Bing.
Oh Dear Mr. Chan Chan Man,
Where have you been.

Is she looking out too far
And you have been around,
Or should she travel to another Nation
For a wedding profound.
Fall head over heels,
Fight for her needs.
And get her what she dreams ,
One of each kind atleast.

That’s all dear Bunny she has to say.
Waiting for your call kneeling near the teller.
Hope to see you soon,

Yours & Only yours
Hermonica Geller….]

War In Between The Two, Poetry by Demarco Singleton

Genre: Love, Romantic, Life, Rhyme
War In Between The Two by Demarco Singleton

Stuck in between the two and having no clue what to do.
You ask yourself, is it worth it? Is it worth breaking a heart that has such great purpose?
Yet you find the distraction growing even greater but you feel you should tend to that later,
but in reality you have to take action now.
You have to break down, crazy as it may sound but it’s the truth.
Listen to your heart and mind and analyze what you need to do. Yes it may be hard but now
the outcome is up to you.
Sit down and think.
You’ve created something great and something that you potentially hate has come into your
life and has filled your mind with things that are way beyond your trait.
So your mind begins to race and your heart beats in an inconsistent pace that’s when you’ve
grown to have doubts, now your mind and heart is in an unwanted place.
Take a deep breath and balance out the situation.
You realize lust has started a war and you’ve been exposed with no ammo. You know you
have to fight back, so you suit up your love with some camos
A day without your love is a day without air, lust is such a competitor but there’s no way it can
compare.
With that realization, love defeats lust with no problem. If you can strengthen your love then
problems, you’ll never have them.
Grow in your love and fight for what it’s worth, cause lust is an obstacle but with love it has
no birth.

3 SONS, Poetry by Natalia Mwananshiku

Genre: Race and Love

3 SONS by Natalia Mwananshiku

She looked like a nightmare yearning to be a dream
The sun was her lover
The moon Her mother
Her voice sounded like a millions deaths
Her skin was the colour of soil
Beneath the stars
Hid away from the moon
Her back pressed against the dirt
She planted her feet into the ground
Her breasts pointed towards the sky
She would place her
Cold fingertips
Upon a warm clitoras
And they would dance
Her body rattled
She would end up face down
Hips up
The sun burning her crotch
Men would walk by and stare
A woman wearing her body so freely
Unashamed of her breasts
Her buttocks
She clothed herself in loose fitting fabric
Her naval sitting on a flashy stomach
Would be left out to tease the sun
And he would burn
Burn with rage jealousy and love
He would hide behind clouds
As though hoping she wouldn't see him
Her children had eyes that held fire
Melanated Skin that absorbed the sun
They're skin was like the night sky
Dark
Yet it glowed
She had pushed for eight hours
Fire burning in her womb
Fluid pouring from her vagina
Watering the garden
Each son falling into a bed of roses
Three
Sons
Of the sun

Grew like Shaka
Tall dark and broad
Spoke like Williams
Thought like kings
In a world full of boys
Who
Grew like Shaka
Thought like Rhodes
And Spoke Like rapists

Sex At It’s Finest by HonestlyFrank

This could all be so simple we could just go that far to the point of no
return, because the damage would be done. The horripilation is so surreal.
We haven’t done it before, but I can imagine what that scene would look
like. Let’s take a moment to picture our lips gliding softly against each other
as smooth as silk, your hands caressing my body which is as soft as rose
petals, my nails digging into your back carving every truth in that timing of
pleasure, your pelvis conjoining with mine, and from there you sliding in on
my island, and in that final thrust we’ve just reached the peak of my
mountain. All of these thoughts came to mind just with the thought of you. I
want you deeper though, I want to feel you in my soul even when you’re
not in my presence. This has to be like no other. So instead make all of
that physical love to my mind, know my ins and outs, every second on this
earth with me counts. I know I’m more than what meets the eyes, so are
you. Get deeper in me climax my heart with the choice to wait. Let’s wait til
all of this makes sense, let’s wait until the physical sounds of our moans
are just the rainfall in a desert, this has to be blessed so we can’t allow
ourselves to make a mess.-HonestlyFrank

SOULFUL WISH, Poetry by Lalwani Ashok

Genre: Love

Soulful wish

She closed her eyes to see the reflection of her soul
The love left some darkness
Hopes left some scares
Expectations left some memories
Her tears shine her soul
Until her tears dry
She feels smile on her soul
Her heart-beats talk to her soul
She dissolved herself
She wrapped herself
Lost in the time
She loves her loneliness
So many questions without answers
So many answers search their questions
She reads herself
Her emotions
Her feelings
Her very thoughts
What she found is lost in time
What she lost is found on her soul
The beauty of tears
The smile of darkness
“Is this a sin to be alive without him?”
She opened her eyes
Saw her soul in front of herself
Her soul whispers
“It is a blessing for you, as he left you.”
She gathered herself and smiles….

Composed by Lalwani Ashok

DO NOT COME HOME, Poetry by Micheal Ace

Genre: Family, Love

DO NOT COME HOME

Son
Do not come home
Until the moon sees your shadows
When the sun brings them in the day
Do not come home
Until the sun sees your tears
When they bathe your face at night
.
Son
Do not come home
Until you find meaning to the poetry
Written on your palm
Until you read from the waves
Spelt on the sweats of the street
Where your feet duly course
.
Son
Do not come home
From your island of trials
Do not rest when the sun is still up
Do not sleep in realm of no dreams
Do not run on the same tracks
Of those fed from the silver breasts
.
Son
Do not come home
Until you understand these words
Everything is fair in love and war
Do not come home
Until you realise that a failure
Is he who couldn’t try one more time
.
Son
Do not come home
Until you are greater than nobody
But better than who you were
Do not come home
Because home is never a home
If no one loves you yet
.
.

Dating Lesson, Poetry by Marcie Tau

Genre:  Love, Relationship

Dating Lesson by Marcie Tau

It began with a smile and glance

Then he asked me to dance

We walked along the beach

Love seemed within reach

Could he be the one

Or were we just having fun

It was official date number four

We kissed at my door

Tonight he followed me in

He could tell by my grin

That I would say yes

And he began to undress

As he took off his clothes

Major B. O. went up my nose

I thought I would die

From the smell of this guy

I needed a plan

To get rid of this man

It was hard to breathe

I prayed he would leave

I blurted it out

No it was more like a shout

I didn’t want to be mean

But I was turning green

He left angry and sad

I was relieved yet felt bad

I grabbed the Lysol and the Glade

What a mistake I almost made

I’ve stopped dating for a while

But all it would take is a smile

To open my heart

And again I would start

Men, let this be a lesson to you all

If you want a woman to fall

Before the date, within the hour

Use deodorant and take a shower
