12 Questions for my Soul Mate
by Hussein Hill

Who were you on the worst day of your life?
Who is the person I need to be to make you my wife?

What is your darkest fear?
What are the words your soul longs to hear?

When was the last time you cried tears of joy?
When will you make me your man or will I forever be your boy toy?

Where is the erogenous zone of your mind?
Where do you hide the pass code to your heart, my heart needs to find?

How can two strangers meet, then grow to love to the point their souls intertwine?
How can I arise like a Phoenix, so I might love you for another lifetime?

Why does God honor us to share this time and space?
Why is it when you hold me I am transported to a womb like place?

FIVE YEARS, Poetry Reading by Vanessa F. Doce

Never in my life to imagine the impossible
Surprisingly, we meet again five years after
Shocked, blissful and comfortable
No words to say just Hello, Foreve

Genre: Love

FIVE YEARS
by Vanessa F. Doce

Five years after we met each other
Didn’t plan to have a picture
together
The photo we have is simply a sign
That in the future we will last forever.

I was a fan girl that sudden moment
Dying to see the guy whom I’d love
Cute guys seem walking anywhere
But unfortunately, he wasn’t there.

Your charm attracts me on that celebration
A blurred picture of us is the creation
I came on that day for others
But, God gave me a different person.

Never in my life to imagine the impossible
Surprisingly, we meet again five years after
Shocked, blissful and comfortable
No words to say just Hello, Forever.

Jeremiah 17:9, Poetry Reading by Don Savant

Every morning I wake up
And feel for you
On the other side of my bed…
And I become startled by your absence…

Run to the bathroom
And the kitchen…

Jeremiah 17:9
by Don Savant

Every morning I wake up
And feel for you
On the other side of my bed…
And I become startled by your absence…
So I
Run to the bathroom
And the kitchen…
Then I
Look towards the closet…
Seeing that
Your side is yet still empty…

It burns deeply within me
Knowing that
You’re no longer with me
That you
Gave up on us so quickly
During our
Rough patch…
All because
He was able to
Sweet talk you out of my arms
In the middle of our
Sour moment…

After all who
Prophesied over us
Touching and agreeing that
God was in the midst of us…
You bailed
Tucked your tail and ran
When I was
More than willing
To work hand in hand
Side by side
Heart to heart with you
To resolve
That which would have been
That time we’d
Look back on and
Laugh about…
Pointing out
How silly the whole thing seemed
While being grateful
That we stuck it out…

I…
I…
Miss your
Beautiful everything…
And your…
Loving…
All…
I…
Lord God knows I
Can still smell the fragrance of you
All up and through
Everywhere we
Stood together and
I can still see
The ghost of you…
That smile you used to smile
During the
Many moments when
You used to
At least seem…
Like you were happy with me…
Like you were
Content with us…
Like you were…
Here
Right where and when I needed you…

Alas…
The truth can do more harm than good
At the times
When I miss you the most…
And when I
Miss you the most
The harm that is done
Is certainly not good…

THE AMETHYST, Poetry by Angel Edwards

THE AMETHYST
by Angel Edwards

The child sleeps inside
an amethyst
She has no mouth
Four glass stairs
Lead to the outside
Her world ashine
under a gaudy full moon
golden trees,
topaz bushes
illuminated
An ancient  fountain
in the centre
propels a rainbow stream clear cool water forever
She scoops some up
Breathes in the magic water
Her ghost friend Jack becomes visible again
she attempts as
always in vain
always to
his  laughter,
to embrace,to touch
Jack dressed up
like a king
golden crown
velvet purple cloak
He has holes for eyes
neither would
grow old
Never would fall in love
Only be friends
Innocent child love
for these child spirits

Beautiful things
by NuBlaccSoUl

Till you can’t walk
Till you are sore,
Yet still smiling
from the thrilling experience,
Till you are sweating pleasure
from every pore.
Till your breath murmurs
my first name with every inhale
Till my voice is the only sound
your ears want, need to hear.

i would
rest my head on your bosom
and listen
Enjoy the sweet tunes composed by
every noted word you harmonise

Tales of your life stories before they became entwined with mine
Narratives about your dreams
About who breaks your glassy heart
And what tickles your eye-ducts
into opening a flood of tears.

an inner world of wishes
she deserves beautiful things,

9 verses Love
by Karoline Lehner

468 moons and 39 winters
I wandered the earth alone.

As a little girl I dreamed to be
a circus princess on a flying horse.

In every frog I saw a prince
whose spell I break with my kiss.

In vain I waited for the noble knight
to appear and save me from the world.

When I realized, there is no knight
and all my dragons I fight alone.

I learned to save myself and I swallowed my tears.
My body was strong and I mastered the sword.

I saw ugliness and I treasured beauty.
My laughter was bright and I kept silent in darkness.

I screamed and I whispered,
my prayer was humble and my cursing was wild.

468 moons and 39 winters
I prepared to love you.

My Escape, A Poem by Amy Miller

MY ESCAPE
by Amy Miller

In this wild-scape
Trapped by my fear
My heart heaves
A sigh of damp air

Bring me to the surface
Let me see the light
Otherwise I’ll be caught down here
In my own fight

What do you see
Across the sea
A land of salvation
why can’t it be me

Hear my name
See thy face
Hidden beneath
my own disgrace

Bring me to the surface
Let me see the light
Otherwise I’ll be caught down here
In my own fight

Beauty is deep
Caught up in the folds
Trying to escape
The traps and the cold

What is the answer
A knowing to unfold
To gather me up
And embrace me like gold

A heart that cracks open
And pain to wring out
A wish to come back
And see myself whole

Bring me to the surface
Let me see the light
Otherwise I’ll be caught down here
In my own fight

Loving Our Blue Earth
By Betsy Brandt

Love spoke and made our blue earth, not to be the center of the universe, but its muse,

Love spoke and made our blue earth the third rock from the sun, Terra, solid, drifting, with vibrant, exploding life,

Love spoke and made the third rock spin and circle around the sun, with a tilt Terra spins, making seasons abound, arrays of colors bursting,

Love spoke and made Luna, dazzling sister to our blue earth, tugging, teasing our waters, one declared we’d often visit, just because,

Love spoke and made our sun, stunningly rise and fall peacefully for our blue earth, but no, Love gently spins and turns Terra to the East each day,

Love spoke and made our sun, Helios, our brightest Hero Star, one we could ever follow, never floating away, like Love itself,

Love spoke and made our Star give our blue earth, light, life, our sight, warmth- just right, boundless energy, gratefully received,

Love spoke and made our blue earth ride in the Galaxy of Milky Way, majestic spiral,
glowing band, heavenly teeming of kinship,

Love spoke and made Love to be written in the Sky, never alone, designed, evolving,
sustained harmony, loving our blue earth, gracefully conceived for Love.

To love a life, Poetry by Christopher Hughes

Eccentric maybe…but I know that I’m in love but my demons they torture me. My Love. Have you ever closed your eyes and just pictured bliss. Or even better yet dear love; closed your eyes and seen shear terror amidst your bliss? To love unconditionally, my soul? My dear and sweet heart. My soul tear at me, yet I can not find the person to fill my void. I’m trying to love myself. But where can this love come from if it has literally died and dried up from my life.

Genres: Love and depression

To love a life
by Christopher Hughes

My Love? How dare I address you so?

Or maybe I’m the crazy one…

Eccentric maybe…but I know that I’m in love but my demons they torture me. My Love. Have you ever closed your eyes and just pictured bliss. Or even better yet dear love; closed your eyes and seen shear terror amidst your bliss? To love unconditionally, my soul? My dear and sweet heart. My soul tear at me, yet I can not find the person to fill my void. I’m trying to love myself. But where can this love come from if it has literally died and dried up from my life.

It’s quite painstaking…to say the very least. Your soul has left your body and yet what do you do?? Your yesterdays are gone. You can’t take them back. Your heart yearns and begs forgiveness yet you never get any. Do you really deserve forgiveness? Or should you just continue to beg?

I try to keep my head high and be hopeful, but finding a love and losing it is a hard one.

What is love?

To me it means this: Giving yourself unconditionally to someone and despite their faults and failures…you accept them unconditionally. Yet I have failed the ultimate sin of infidelity. Oh my heart and soul…how you torment me.

First we must dig within ourselves to love ourselves.
