Triumph of love by Juan Antonio García

The moon is shining within the autumn wind,
In the sky shining as a long suffered pain.
But it won’t be, certainly not, the poet who talks
the occult ways, indecipherable sign
of a liquid sky of scalding fire that would flood the
souls,
if they knew their destiny on earth.

The moon as a hand,
Distributes with the injustice that beauty uses,
Its gifts over the world.
I observe pale faces,
I see beloved faces.
It won’t be me who kisses that pain which shows up in
every face.
Only the moon could close, kissing
Some sweet eyelids tired of life.
Shiny lips, pale moon lips
Lips as brothers for the sad men.
They are a sign of love in this empty life,
They are the concave space where the man breathes
While he flies on the earth blindly turning.

The sign of love, sometimes in the beloved faces
It´s just the shining whiteness,
The torn whiteness of teeth smiling.
Then, up above, the moon turns pale
Stars extinguish,
And there is a distant echo, brightness in the east,
Indistinct moan of suns to show up fighting.
Such happiness then when the laughter glows!
When an adored body
Standing naked, shines like stone,
As the strong stone that kisses brings to life.
Look at that mouth. Up above diurnal lightning
Crosses a pretty face, a sky in which eyes
Are not shadow, eyelashes, murmuring trick,
But breeze of an air that goes through my body
As an echo of tall reeds singing,
Against the living waters, blueish of kisses.

The pure and adored heart, the truth of life
The actual certainty of a shining love,
Its light over the rivers, wet and naked,
Everything lives, lives on, survives and rises
As a shining ember of desire in the skies.

It is only the naked one. It´s laughter in the teeth.
It is light or its stunning gem: the lips.
It is water that kisses adored feet,
As a hidden mystery to the beaten night.

Oh lucid marvel covering with your arms
A fragrant nude, within the forests!
Oh loneliness of the world under the feet spinning
Blindly looking for her destiny of kisses!
I know who loves and lives, who dies and turns and flies.
I know moons extinguish, are reborn, live, cry.
I know two bodies love, two souls come together.

Dating Lesson, Poetry by Marcie Tau

Dating Lesson by Marcie Tau

It began with a smile and glance

Then he asked me to dance

We walked along the beach

Love seemed within reach

Could he be the one

Or were we just having fun

It was official date number four

We kissed at my door

Tonight he followed me in

He could tell by my grin

That I would say yes

And he began to undress

As he took off his clothes

Major B. O. went up my nose

I thought I would die

From the smell of this guy

I needed a plan

To get rid of this man

It was hard to breathe

I prayed he would leave

I blurted it out

No it was more like a shout

I didn’t want to be mean

But I was turning green

He left angry and sad

I was relieved yet felt bad

I grabbed the Lysol and the Glade

What a mistake I almost made

I’ve stopped dating for a while

But all it would take is a smile

To open my heart

And again I would start

Men, let this be a lesson to you all

If you want a woman to fall

Before the date, within the hour

Use deodorant and take a shower

Surrounded By Land, Poetry by Bernadette Perez

Genre: Life, Nature

Surrounded By Land

Soft pillow’s do not soften the blow to thy head

Hard rocks below my feet are forced to bleed
My mind aches with thought
Pain fiercely repeats again and again
Time slowly eats away
Throbbing ached vessels relax
Blisters begin to form
I soon go mad
Numb to my surroundings
I lose interest
I walk pass the porch
Through the trees
In the distant a lake
A full body of water
Wading is effortless
Yearning to be free
Floating cascading upon the ripples
I travel past the reef
Exposed to all the elements
I drift to the edge
Quietly I disappear
Solemnly I rest

Caged Bird, Poetry by Khalid

Caged Bird by Khalid

The sweetness of your love has set a little caged-bird free

And his heart now sings for you incessantly

Since you are my ocean, glistening, serene;

Drowning me always in passion obscene

And you are the sunshine, my morning bliss

I wake with your heartbeat, the remnants of your kiss.

Sunday Night Service, Poetry by Carla Fox

Genre: Religion, Inspirational

Sunday Night Service

One Sunday my job changed my schedule so I had to work during the day,
So I decided that I should go to church that night to worship God and pray, I drove around with great expectations from about seven until nine o’clock, But there was not one church open as I drove around from block to block, Taverns and nightclubs were open and full of those who worshiped Satan, If they wanted to get saved that night, they’d be outside churches waiting, Where are the pastors and the saints? God said to occupy until He comes, This might have been the night God wanted to heal, deliver or save someone, There used to be a time when many churches had services on Sunday nights, Now days so few come out at night they are closed to save on gas and lights, Why should anyone be more concerned about paying the church utility bills? Than being concerned about loss souls getting delivered, saved and healed, God is not pleased, and if the Church keeps neglecting the work of the Lord, Then before the judgment seat of Christ, the lake of fire will be the reward.

RUN, Poetry by La Shan Knox

RUN

by

La Shan Knox

If they don’t put joy in your heart and put a smile on your face – RUN
If you feel a callous in their voice with negativity as their friend – RUN
If they suggest you focus on the problem and pull out the solution – RUN

If they don’t support your dreams and make mountains out of moles – RUN
If they don’t sharpen your mind and make you better, bringing out the best within you – RUN
If their words can kill a plant, and poison the birthplace of a butterfly’s wings – RUN

If they see no good and feel as if everyone is out to get them – RUN
If they make noise in the quiet air as peace surrounds your mind’s sphere – RUN
If they eat poison as their meal and have misery for their drink – YOU BETTER RUN

If they can’t see the person in the mirror is filled with rage and bitterness with a temper for a volcano – DON’T RUN
Sprint to your peace
Leap into joy
Dash into love
Swim into hope and faith
And RUN to the best of yourself
That beautiful person within that GOD created you to be.

THE FRACTAL DEBRIS

The house buried under the sun,

the shimmer they hid couldn’t run,

for the age they held,

no more than a hesitancy.

If one could shallow a sinner thought,

the old cabin would allure,

for the smoke and ashes to sue.

The tantrum was lifting a tragedy,

of what they said about the wood;

a frantic horror and panic.

For what they had consumed,

they might remain the same.

The cabin wouldn’t look alive,

and the brown shade would suffice.

as if the fractal debris were there to swirl.

As the only living place in the wood,

oh, the agony to lose that place has raging,

only for them to survive,

from the wild roses.

Once the wolf echoed,

they should know their place.

YESTERDAY, TODAY, TOMORROW by Eve Noel

His eyes are ocean blue, wide with excitement. He loved me. He cherished me. He laughed with me.

Wanting to touch his new friend. I hunger for him. His companionship. His warmth. Know me he not.

I revisit today with anticipation. The stares piercing. His eyes, the color of night. The long gaze sends a volt of lightning into my heart. The knife dipped in poison is thrust deep into my heart. The aim is to
kill. But I survived. I retreat. I am a clam.

To bring my soul back to life is tomorrow’s journey, which is now today.

DREAMS AND REALITY

At last! From the heaven some sounds touch your ears:

Like a rapid stream is my fluent speech,
My words are mixed with your gentle tears.
Of course, I’ve made my option which
Helped me to defeat this cruel world.
Do understand, my little bird
All the melodies of my daring mind
(It was difficult to do so far).
We can create a lustrous star
To illuminate the humankind.

Oh, God! A bell is ringing on
And an ignis fatuus falls upon.

I am, Poetry by Allyson Olivia

I am
By
Allyson Olivia

Clear droplets falling from a gray sky,
making you beg for the sun.
Pouring hot into fine china, tea bag dipped to sip.
Shooting out of a hose, clearing the cluttered path,
powerful with every spray.
Turned off.
Torrential, ruining parades.
A mist, danced in.
Flowers flourish.
Falling from faces in pain.
Steaming, I whistle.
Ice, I clunk.
Contain, yet contained.
Towels soak me up.
Tongues lift high.
Kool-Aid stirred in, kids gulp.
Buckets of me put out fires.
You swim.
You drown.
I am still, reflecting the sun.
