M.E. – JUST CUT AND PASTE….., Poetry by Bill Clayton

Hair’s a mess, can’t get dressed
Can I shower, that’s the test
Done Ok, the shoes are on
Now where the hell’s my energy gone?
Another day has been a waste
Another day just cut and paste.

M.E. – JUST CUT AND PASTE…..
by Bill Clayton

Hair’s a mess, can’t get dressed
Can I shower, that’s the test
Done Ok, the shoes are on
Now where the hell’s my energy gone?
Another day has been a waste
Another day just cut and paste.

Can’t get the hang of doing nowt
Want to do, wanna go out
Every day just the same
Precious life going down the drain
Another day has been a waste
Another day just cut and paste.

Made a plan, things to do
Gotta get out, meet with you
Head’s a traffic jam again
Cones are out, no working men
Brain’s just stuck in bottom gear
No way I’m leaving here
Another day has been a waste
Another day just cut and paste.

Another day down the drain
Another day, lots of pain
Shakes like hell, couldn’t yell
Could hardly even speak
Words not there, people stare
Me feeling like a freak
Legs like stone, feel so alone
Need to be safe back at home
Another day has been a waste
Another day just cut and paste.

Politicians do your sums
We’re not a load of idle bums
Don’t just stand and bang your gums
Don’t just cut and paste

ME won’t let us live
For that sin I won’t forgive
It gives a little, takes a lot
But beware our souls can’t be bought
My inner strength will work tenfold
To leave M.E out in the cold
To this Illness I will lay waste
Spread the word……
Just cut and paste…..

THE PRICE OF LOVE $$$, Poetry by James Gary

What can this madness be
That dost cause my mind to see
You, as if you were near
When only in spirit, your soul is here
What voodoo dirge I’m under

THE PRICE OF LOVE $$$
by James Gary

What can this madness be
That dost cause my mind to see
You, as if you were near
When only in spirit, your soul is here
What voodoo dirge I’m under
That wouldst my heart to wonder
With such a steady pain
Liken to a Far eastern monsoon rain
Be thou still aching heart
What troubles thee, seizures mind
Less from my body I should fling apart
Oh that I could leave thee two behind,
And as my journey should anew
‘Out heart or mind to see me through
And o’er this circumference I should go
They’d say from Hades, a being sent
With shuffle-step he dost wander
His eyes a fixed and catatonic glow
And faculties successfully rent
Only he’d known his feelings wouldst grow fonder/
And wish if I were able To have never set foot upon this place
Saw thy beauty at the table Grecian love etched thy face
And to never have taken that first glance That played the stage for fool’s romance
And greater cause of, histories melancholy
More renown than General Custer’s folly

Love, Poetry by Aaron Carey

If a flower grows,

Love
by Aaron Carey

If a flower grows,

it’s petals soon will whittle,

all bones that once were strong become soft and weak and brittle,

everything that’s built, the foundations you have set,

all castle’s crumble to the dust all memorys forget,

you cannot rebuild a castle out of dust and air and sky,

but man and man in love,

he certainly will try…

Take back all that was weak and cast it to the wind,

as old things crash and crumble new things soon will begin….

Dream Ahead
by Chris Biscuiti

I will not let them look at you sadly
and I know how you want it so badly
to look at the stars and grab with your hands
to do little boy things your mind commands

You will get there son, I can see your will
you’ll ride rollercoasters just for the thrill
we will chant and scream for the New York Mets
when they break our hearts we’ll have no regrets

Today grandpa held you close on the couch
and grandma fed you another fruit pouch
she calls you her peach as you beg for more
mommy lights up as she comes through the door

I read you Goodnight Moon just before bed
as you doze off tonight I dream ahead

About the Poem:

My son Brayden was diagnosed with a rare seizure condition known as Infantile Spasms. He has since been treated and has been seizure free since he was 6 months old.

He is about to be 1 year-old on November 5th, and while he is severely developmentally delayed, we are just so blessed and so lucky to have a happy baby boy.

I wrote this poem about my dreams for Brayden, hopefully in some way this poem could shed some light onto an under-researched, unknown condition that is very serious and can really use the support and awareness that other conditions have.

Rapscallion
by Shelby Schimcek

You’re the rapscallion of devious games
Paralyzing my body
Controlling my mind
Manipulating my trust
With your alluring string of lies
Your carnivorous appetite
Devours my thoughts
Lurking behind a devilish smile
Attacking at my weakest
Limp and lifeless
You leave me dangling
At your finger tips
Waiting to strike a match
That fuels the flame between us
With a breath
You darken the glow
Showering me with venomous kisses
My still beating poisoned heart
Crashes into darkened depths
Of lost hope
Kindling me with false love
An ounce of warmth
enlightens my rebirthing heart
Prone to your touch
I’m only fooled once more
