DREAMS AND REALITY

At last! From the heaven some sounds touch your ears:

Like a rapid stream is my fluent speech,
My words are mixed with your gentle tears.
Of course, I’ve made my option which
Helped me to defeat this cruel world.
Do understand, my little bird
All the melodies of my daring mind
(It was difficult to do so far).
We can create a lustrous star
To illuminate the humankind.

Oh, God! A bell is ringing on
And an ignis fatuus falls upon.

I am, Poetry by Allyson Olivia

Genre: Inspirational

I am
By
Allyson Olivia

Clear droplets falling from a gray sky,
making you beg for the sun.
Pouring hot into fine china, tea bag dipped to sip.
Shooting out of a hose, clearing the cluttered path,
powerful with every spray.
Turned off.
Torrential, ruining parades.
A mist, danced in.
Flowers flourish.
Falling from faces in pain.
Steaming, I whistle.
Ice, I clunk.
Contain, yet contained.
Towels soak me up.
Tongues lift high.
Kool-Aid stirred in, kids gulp.
Buckets of me put out fires.
You swim.
You drown.
I am still, reflecting the sun.

Flickering lights, Poetry by Silfath Pinto

A trail of Flickering lights
In the depth of the dark night
I dream of wings to fly
Dancing with the warm lights
Forgetting what’s wrong or right

Flickering lights by Silfath Pinto

Sparkling stars in the sky

A trail of Flickering lights
In the depth of the dark night
I dream of wings to fly
Dancing with the warm lights
Forgetting what’s wrong or right
Little girl mesmerized by
A vision of love so bright
Her heart beaming in the night
As her soul twirls in the sky
Enchantment is her birthright
She is creating a sky of delights
Soon we will say goodbye
So Why wait for a white knight
Why waste moments of pure delights
For now let’s just look in sky
Calling for the Goddess Aphrodite
Living in ecstasy before daylight

Lottie, we can fly!, Poetry by Elaine Longworth

Lottie and I had our garden party, with teddy and Barbie
We ate jam butties and chocolate bunnies,
We made them together, it seemed we would be forever
Lovely jammy and chocolate messy
I swept her up, laughing, heading through the gate, late
As always, stealing time, making it mine
We ran through the field, a path revealed
By other scurrying, worrying feet running to the beat of life

Sky so blue, a warm breeze as soft as a feather

Lottie, we can fly! by Elaine Longworth

Our hands entwined we slowed to a walk together
Starlings watched us, Jackdaws seemed to forbid us
Sky Larks sweeping and swooping before us
Greeting us with merry chitter chatter, scattering around us

Why do birds sing? Soft voice imploring the all knowing
Lottie they sing to remind us and invite us
To follow what makes our heart sing
Why do birds fly? Lottie they fly to remind you and I
We too have wings to fly,
Wings to make our dreams soar high in the sky
Bringing them and us alive with the beat of our heart song
Lottie, we can fly! Scooping her up, whizzing her round
Her feet off the ground, giggling to our momentary heart song

My Life Tumbled and I Fell, Poetry by A.Goomer

When you lose someone you love, it’s hard to be strong,
When you lose that connection and bond it’s hard to go on.

You find yourself at the depths unable to cope,
You don’t have the strength to look ahead for any hope.

Holding on to every piece of them you have,
How could you leave me Dad?

My Life Tumbled and I Fell by A.Goomer

When you lose someone you love, it’s hard to be strong,
When you lose that connection and bond it’s hard to go on.

You find yourself at the depths unable to cope,
You don’t have the strength to look ahead for any hope.

Holding on to every piece of them you have,
How could you leave me Dad?

The death of someone close to you makes you think,
Maybe life isn’t all rosy and pink.

How can this be happening? What am I going to do?
Will I forever feel lost, alone and blue?

They say time can heal a broken heart,
It gets better, but some days it pulls apart.

Feeling left behind is a horrible feeling,
A lot of nights are left staring at the ceiling.

When tragedy strikes, you see things in a new light,
Life doesn’t seem so bright.

Focus on your happiness with the family and friends you chose,
The sad days will lessen along with your all-time lows.

We must pick ourselves up and live with the living,
These ghosts we see are not giving.

The Earth Through the Eyes of the Moon, Poetry by Julie Hartley

O magnificent Majesty, cornucopia in dark space
Your quiet splendour today, evokes a feeling of peace

The Earth Through the Eyes of the Moon
by Julie Hartley

O magnificent Majesty, cornucopia in dark space
Your quiet splendour today, evokes a feeling of peace
Cerulean beauty, you are, shrouded in milky haze
I am your humble follower, enigmatic but at ease

We’ve traversed the way in sync, for many a year
Constantly evolving, we have come so very far
In all this great distance and all this passing time
We belonged together, following our parent star

I watched your many revolutions, turning myself too
Your conditions gently cooled, allowing life to grow,
Influencing your world, directing ebbs and flows
Leading thoughts skywards as the place to go

My bright pale aspect enlightened the dark night sky
Inspired beings upon you look towards my face
Our mutual attraction and long lasting solidarity
Culminated in lifeforms able to venture into space

my soul thirsts yet I search in barren lands,

my eyes long for truth yet I seek human hands,

my being hungers after fullness yet I worship emptiness.”

Kindred Spirits, Poetry by Inis L. Fal

One early morning as I slept, I heard a distant sound,
And coming wake, I stepped outside, and gasped at wondrous sight.
For there below in sparkling sea, touched here and there with gold,
Swam a Labrador, and aft an fore, a herd of porpoises.

Kindred Spirits
by Inis L. Fal

One early morning as I slept, I heard a distant sound,
And coming wake, I stepped outside, and gasped at wondrous sight.
For there below in sparkling sea, touched here and there with gold,
Swam a Labrador, and aft an fore, a herd of porpoises.

Take heed all ye on land and sea, in calm and deep blue bay,
A Labrador, gleeful and gay, the porpoises did chase,
As long ago his ancestors, had often done before,
In the salty seas, of histories, and olden times afore.

Many a sun has set and done, before the Labrador,
When Spanish galleons floated o’er, Atlanteans of lore,
When land and ocean first began, and man did sail the sea,
Of mystery, and history, and porpoises did play!

My Daily Prayer, Poetry by Angey Cravens

My Daily Prayer
by Angey Cravens

Each morning I wake
I say my daily prayer
Thank God for waking me
With a fresh breathe of air

Thank you for showing me
How beautiful life really is
Nothing makes life complete
Like true family and friends

Thank you for every obstacle
You’ve placed along the way
They’ve made me the person
That I am today

Thank you for every blessing
I cherish each and every one
From the smallest flower growing
To the Angels that help me carry on

I pray warmth and shelter
For those out on the street
I pray they are fortunate enough
To always have food to eat

I pray protection and safety
For those fighting for a cause
Then pray strength and love
To those who feel lost

I pray God be with me
As I know he always is
I thank him once again
For all his precious gifts
AMEN
